The Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) seeks teacher-generated grant proposals that offer novel concepts and strategies that will affect student learning, and support positive values and healthy behavior. The LTEF supports educational activities or programs not provided for in the standard school budget with the intent that funded projects will have a lasting and positive impact on students. Proposals from all district schools, grade levels, and curriculum areas are encouraged.
1. LTEF calls for proposals from teachers/school administrators in two competitive cycles each year.
2. The deadlines for proposals for the 2016-2017 school year are October 14, 2016 and February 10, 2017. Dates for the 2017-2018 school year will be announced in the summer. Proposals submitted in these cycles may request funding for materials, equipment, programs, and professional development that will enhance classroom instruction.
3. Funds may be requested in amounts up to $10,000. If a request is less than $250, please contact the foundation directly at email@example.com.
a. Requests for more than $10,000 should be submitted by district administration in a Winter cycle that is solely intended for larger programs that address systemic change and/or district initiatives to sustain excellence in the schools. Please reach out to the Director of Instructional services with these requests.
4. Teacher-generated grants require approval by the building principal.
