LTEF STATEMENT ON EQUITY & INCLUSION

The LTEF fosters educational excellence, creativity, and achievement in the Lawrence Township Public Schools.  We know that our mission can only be fully achieved when access and opportunity to education is available to all students regardless of background. We remain committed to equity and inclusion especially during this moment when our country is seeking to address systemic racism and longstanding educational inequities.

We are proud to have funded many grants in the Lawrence Township Public Schools that support equity and inclusion, and we are fully committed to funding more of this important work in the future. Some of our past grants that address equity and inclusion are:

That did not happen due to the pandemic. The goal is to have two professional trainers work with the administration and teacher leaders to design a curriculum and each school will have “equity warriors.” We look forward to supporting this initiative when the district is able to start the training.
