Thanks to YOUR generosity, in the past 31 years, we have contributed more than $4.4 million to fund 1,080 grants in Lawrence Township public schools, and $187,126 in the 2021-2022 academic year alone.

The LTEF raises funds from individuals, local businesses, corporations, and foundations for programs that foster excellence, creativity, and achievement in education for all students in Lawrence Township public schools. Through grant requests from teachers and school administrators, the LTEF funds programs that will have a substantial and lasting impact on LTPS students.

Eldridge Park KindergaRTEn Playground and Garden GRANTS
This fall, Photography by Fabienne visited Eldridge Park School with us and took some wonderful photos of grants funded there over the past few years, including $6,000 in 2019 to “Enhance and Refurbish the F.A.L.C.O.N. SPACE” and our 2020 grant “Outdoor Learning at the Elementary Level” grant for $4,336 that provided or improved outdoor learning at each elementary school. AREAS OF IMPACT

This past year, LTEF funded more than $21,000 in support structures for students and classrooms, helping to ensure equal access to vital resources. We continue to fund important STEM initiatives and contributed more than $50,000 in this area during 2021-2022. Teaching STEM in our schools is critical to the development of our children as it helps to teach problem-solving, helps close the gender gap, and develops practical preparedness. Arts and cultural education provide intrinsic enrichment opportunities, but they are an essential avenue for our students to engage in a broader context with the potential for deep and profound meaning. Supporting these programs helps create positive social environments which have been demonstrated to yield greater civic participation and gradual residency growth; reduction of neighborhood, ethnic, and class divisions; and decreased truancy, delinquency, and poverty rates. Our dedicated educators asked for numerous technology focused grants. LTEF answered that call by providing over $45K in grants for classroom technology and resources throughout the district. “We are so lucky that LTPS has such a strong, collaborative partnership with the LTEF, and fortunate for the support it has provided us over the years. The LTEF grants have allowed our teachers to think outside the box and provide engaging and creative lessons to our students. You can’t walk into a classroom (or the playgrounds/fields) at LIS without having some aspect of their classroom or their instruction funded by the LTEF, and there is no doubt that these grants have brought many smiles to our students faces, and have challenged them to grow and learn. Thank you for the opportunity to bring in so many new materials, lessons and ideas to our school!”
We are challenging ourselves as well as you, our supporters, with a drive for the next decade: continue to foster educational excellence, creativity, and achievement in every Lawrence Township public school and reach $6 million in contributions to LTPS by 2031.
