Lawrence Township Education Foundation Supports the LTPS Referendum

LAWRENCE, N.J. – The Lawrence Township Education Foundation supports the upcoming school referendum, recognizing its critical role in strengthening our schools and, in turn, our entire community. A strong school system is the backbone of a thriving community. High-quality education not only prepares students for successful careers and meaningful lives but also enhances property values and attracts families and businesses to our area.

Strong schools make for strong communities. They reduce crime, foster civic engagement, and create a sense of pride and belonging. When our schools succeed, we all benefit. Families want to live in a district where preschool is available to every student at no cost, where academic scores soar, and where every student’s needs are met. When school districts thrive, the community thrives.

The referendum allows the Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) to focus on supporting teachers' academic initiatives rather than filling gaps caused by infrastructure costs. With facility concerns being managed through dedicated referendum funding, LTEF can invest more in innovative classroom programs, technology enhancements, and enrichment opportunities that directly impact student learning and success.

Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) raises funds from individuals, local businesses, corporations, and foundations for programs that foster excellence, creativity, and achievement in education for all students in Lawrence Township Public Schools. Through grant requests from teachers and school administrators, LTEF funds programs that will have a substantial and lasting impact on Lawrence Township public school students. As a result of these grants, our Lawrence Township public school students have had the opportunity to take part in innovative classroom projects, use new technology, and have access to state-of-the-art equipment. Since 1992, it has funded more than 1,140 programs in the Lawrence schools with grants exceeding $4.6 million.
